Farm Safety Day
June has been a busy month for our Nebraska locations. On June 2, Green Plains Ord participated in the Progressive Agriculture Farm Safety Day, which took place at the Valley County Ag Complex in Ord, Nebraska. Green Plains sponsored the event and provided lunch to the nearly 250 children and volunteers who participated.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade attended sessions in the morning and grades 3-6 attended sessions in the afternoon. Each child received a t-shirt, Green Plains goodie bag and bicycle helmet for safe fun this summer!
Susan Krohn, lab manager at Green Plains Ord said, “I really appreciate everyone’s teamwork on making this event successful – feeding over 200 people! It is a great event, and look forward to a continued relationship with the Farm Safety Day for Kids!”

We are so excited that our E85 Omaha campaign is now 1 month old! What is E85 Omaha you might ask?
E85 Omaha is a desktop and mobile site that connects drivers of flex-fuel vehicles to E85 stations in Omaha: www.e85omaha.com. It's super easy! All you do is visit the site and a list of stations will pop up based on your location. Then it will map it for you!
There are nearly 30,000 flex-fuel vehicles in the Omaha area. That's 30,000 vehicles that can use E85, a fuel with 40% fewer emissions than regular unleaded gasoline. Wow!
If you are in Omaha and you are driving a flex-fuel vehicle, this site is for you!
Check it out!
