      Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

      • Gather and centrally organize information pertaining to the elements in support of Green Plains ethanol plants
      • Work with each process department to gain insight into the activities, processes, hazards, and risk prevention mechanisms for each task.
      • Manage existing company PSM program elements, including, but not limited to:
        • PSM committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and action items
        • Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) review and updates
        • Management of Change tracking
        • Equipment list tracking
      • Work with a point of use library containing all process safety information in accordance with OSHA 1910.119 following EHS&S Director’s guidance

      Skills and Requirements:

      • Ability to wear PPE

      Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc., an ethanol production company (stock symbol: GPRE), is currently seeking a Process Operator to work at our plant in Central City, Nebraska.

      Essential Functions:

      • Be able to learn all facets of ethanol process including; cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, thermo oxidizer, centrifuges, grain system, and water treatment.
      • Ability to learn and operate DCS (computer control system) for the plant.
      • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up, shut down, cleaning, and batching.
      • Stay within operating parameters set by Plant/Production Manager.
      • Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player.
      • Collect samples and do the necessary tests to ensure consistent and quality product and record results.
      • Monitor and make adjustments on the (DCS) computer according to the results of the samples and to keep within parameters and record changes.
      • Keep facility, control room, and break room clean including mopping and hosing down plant floors so as to maintain tour ready conditions.
      • Keep operators coming on shift briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift.
      • Work closely with maintenance and inform them of any mechanical problems.
      • Communicate with the Laboratory and learn testing procedures including but not limited to yeast counts, microwave analyzer, HPLC, and the GC.
      • Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects.
      • Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Plant Manager/Production Manager.
      • 12 hour shift work including a three day weekend every other week with overtime and call ins.
      • Participate in safety programs and ongoing training sessions. 
      • Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations of the plant.

       Essential Requirements:

      • Must be hard working and self motivated.
      • Ability to work well with others and ability to work independently with multi-tasking skills.
      • Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs and work at heights.
      • Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
      • Ability to operate utility vehicles.
      • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
      • Must be able to work in and around conditions which may be dusty, contain high noise levels and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions year round and may be exposed to chemicals used in the process.

      • Work with counterparties to ensure appropriate application and entry of shipments into system

      Summary:

      The Junior Quantitative Analyst will assist the Commodities department by preparing weekly estimates, variance analysis, and position maintenance. In addition, this position will also be involved in development and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases.

      Job Functions:

      • Perform research, analysis and stress testing on trading strategies, derivative transactions, including detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis.
      • Responsible for daily P+L analytics reporting on derivatives portfolio as well as weekly trade reconciliations.
      • Input and complete daily departmental information per contract per plant locations.
      • Closely work with Ethanol Merchandisers and/or Corn Procurement Directors.
      • Prepare required reports and analysis; which includes daily ethanol and grain positions.
      • Reconcile positions and calculate monthly portfolio averages.
      • Assist in structuring and pricing of new deal activity. Set market-to-market valuations, issue and receive all margin calls with counterparties.
      • Assist in other duties as needed and directed

      Summary:

      The Lead Elevator Operator Trainee will work at Dyer Grain in Northwestern Tennessee to learn all operations of the grain elevator and develop leadership and operational skills needed to enhance the performance of our grain division including grain handling, storage, shipping, and feed sales. 

      Job Functions include but are not limited to:

      • Work with grain loading and unloading teams
      • Monitor and maintain grain quality
      • Keep facilities and equipment clean, safe and well maintained
      • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and make or schedule repairs as necessary
      • Adhere to and develop Green Plains safety standards

      Essential Requirements:

      Position is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, high places, heightened noise levels, high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Position will frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for extended periods of time. Will also require long hours (after-hours and weekends) during harvest seasons.

      Job Summary:

      The Grain Divisional Manager guides multiple (seven) locations in running a customer friendly, safe and profitable business by assisting location managers with budgeting – P & L management – safety – elevator operations- maximizing operational efficiencies - marketing, and  customer service.

      Responsibilities:

      • Work with location managers and grain origination lead to effectively manage grain volumes and space utilization while maximizing margins.
      • Monitor safety program and GRAIN equipment maintenance programs to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards.
      • Direct  location grain managers, guide-oversee marketing & grain origination programs, communications and location budgets, ensure the growth and profitability of the grain elevators
      • Oversee organization, direction and training of all grain elevator Green Plains Grain employees.
      • Will assist with ensuring grain locations maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and state and federal safety regulations for maintenance and professional appearance of equipment, rolling stock and facilities. Train employees to meet all dealer, warehouse and regulatory requirements.

      Job Summary This position requires accurate and accountable performance of all necessary duties to ensure safe and efficient operations in the fermentation and distillation areas of the facility.

       

      Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Learn all facets of the ethanol process including: cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, thermo oxidizer, centrifuges, grain system, and water treatment.
      • Learn and operate DCS (computer control system) for the plant.
      • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.
      • Stay within operating parameters set by Plant/Production Manager and notify management of any production problems.
      • Keep accurate and timely logs.
      • Collect samples and do the necessary tests to ensure consistent and quality product and record results.
      • Monitor and make adjustments on the (DCS) computer according to the results of the samples and to keep within parameters and record changes.
      • Keep facility, control room, and break room clean including mopping and hosing down plant floors – tour ready conditions.
      • Keep operators, coming on shift, briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift.
      • Work closely with maintenance and inform them of any mechanical problems.
      • Communicate with the Laboratory and learn testing procedures including but not limited to yeast counts, microwave analyzer, HPLC, and the GC.
      • Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Plant Manager/Production Manager.
      • Help out in other areas as needed.
      • Participate in safety programs and ongoing training sessions.
      • Required to follow all safety procedures.

      Essential Requirements

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • Requires a valid driver’s license.
      • Be able to operate utility vehicle.
      • Basic computer skills
      • Must be hard working and self-motivated
      • Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs, and work at heights.

      Essential Requirements

      • High School graduate – technical or college degree a plus
      • Must have a valid driver’s license.
      • Background in maintenance work with knowledge of mechanical and E/I disciplines.
      • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and estimating.
      • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, equipment drawings, and P&IDs.
      • Strong experience with communication of technical information – both written and verbal.
      • Proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g. work-processing, email, and spreadsheets is required.
      • Experience with CMMS software or ability to learn other application if needed.
      • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
      • Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 175 feet.

      • Promote EHSS awareness at the plant and monitor for EHSS compliance
      • Elect and provide leadership for the EHSS committee
      • Communicate with the EHSS committee and follow through with their suggestions and concerns
      • Develop and implement policies and procedures to go above and beyond those required by local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to EHSS
      • Conduct investigations for all EHSS related incidents and near misses

      Job Summary Maintain plant machinery and equipment systems and perform other mechanical duties as required to ensure plant production processing continues.  Install new machinery and equipment on a project by project basis.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.

      • Trouble-shoot and determine necessary repairs and maintenance.

      • Repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
      • rn
      • Perform various preventative maintenance checks and repairs on machinery and equipment.
      • rn
      • Overhaul equipment, pump repair and rebuilding pumps.
      • rn
      • Welding with tig, mig and stick.
      • rn
      • Complete Work Orders and document the time, tasks and parts/supplies needed to complete the Work Order in the CMMS software.

      • Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: rn

        • Greasing & Oiling
        • rn
        • Service of rolling stock and equipment to service schedule
        • rn
        • Fabricating
        • rn
        • Vibration detection
        • rn

      • rn
      • Limited to the cleanliness and orderly organization of electrical work areas, MCC rooms, electrical enclosures, maintenance shop.

      • Maintain updated documentation of all machinery and equipment changes implemented by said individual or contractors hired by the plant.

      • Perform weekly inspection and take an inventory of tools and shop equipment and submit requisition to replace broken or missing items.

      • Perform required maintenance duties as needed on an on-call basis as scheduled.

      • Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

      • Communicate and interface with production department on job specific information.

      Essential Requirements

      • Must have the basic knowledge of electrical circuits up to 480 volts or have the willingness to learn.

      • Possess a current journeyman card or have completed an Associate’s degree in machine maintenance technology or comparable field.

      • Basic computer knowledge

      • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

      • Good written and verbal communication skills

      • Ability to work well with others and ability to work independently
      • rn
      • Previous experience with machinery and mechanical equipment

      • Must be willing to work unscheduled shifts not limited to but including working on an on call schedule and call ins when required

      • Must be able to work in and around conditions which may be dusty, contain high noise levels and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions year round and may be exposed to chemicals used in the process.

      Job Summary Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the company to ensure that the grain meets acceptable quality requirements.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Inspect and grade all grain delivered to the Company to insure that grain is of acceptable quality and meets specifications as outlined in the purchase contract and reject shipments of grain not meeting standards.
      • Weigh all trucks and tractor/wagons coming into and leaving the facility and directing vehicles to the proper location for loading/unloading within the facility
      • Weigh agronomy anhydrous tanks, scale in/out fertilizer vehicles.
      • Communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure the timely unloading of products received.
      • Enter all customer and product data into grain receiving software.
      • Ensure scale ticket accuracy.
      • Keep area around the truck scale and scale office area clean and presentable at all times.
      • Ensure scale is operating correctly.
      • Maintain company warehouse receipts
      • Enforce grain and credit policies.
      • Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
      • Provide customer service through giving out grain bids and general questions.
      • When necessary assist front counter person with receiving customer payments and invoicing customer sales transactions.
      • Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely operations with the facility.

      Essential Requirements

      • Good written, verbal and personal skills
      • Previous experience in grain receiving and grading
      • Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner
      • Attention to detail
      • Ability to handle multiple tasks
      • Ability to work with all levels of staff (co-workers and management)
      • Keyboard skills along with Microsoft and Excel software skills
      • Will be required to work after-hours and weekends, as the job requires
      • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time during busy seasons.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb steps

      Green Plains Grain Company LLC has an immediate need for a Location Manager at our Superior location.

      Summary:

      The Location Manager will direct, promote, and coordinate personnel and operations (grain, agronomy, and fuel) in a manner that will optimize market share and savings, improve efficiency, and help achieve the missions and goals of the company.  The position responsibilities will involve supervision, grain management, agronomy, fuel responsibilities, marketing, purchasing, inventory, and maintenance.  This position reports directly to the Divisional Managers.

      Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

      • Maintain all property facilities and inventory
      • Assure proper grain storage and condition
      • Maintain grain quality and quantity
      • Monitor all daily business activity
      • Work in conjunction with agronomy and fuel sales teams
      • Ensure all safety procedures are followed
      • Supervise grain, agronomy, and fuel employees at the location in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
      • Delegate workload; actively support employee growth
      • Interview, hire and train employees, assign and direct work, and appraise performance
      • Monitor work performed by outside contractors
      • Perform grain purchases
      • Enforce and uphold the company’s credit policy
      • Represent the Companies identity to all customers

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or 7-10 years of industry experience; with 1-2 years experience in similar role.
      • USDA Grain Grading and Weighing License
      • Ability to proficiently operate the Company’s accounting software as well as basic spreadsheet and word processing software
      • Must demonstrate the following competencies: problem solving, customer service, interpersonal skills, communication, visionary leadership, change management, delegation, business acumen, cost consciousness, safety and security, adaptability, dependability, initiative, and innovation
      • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
      • Occasionally lift 50 to 100 or more pounds

      Position is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and vibration.
